Middle & High School Students Start Hybrid Learning

Middle & High School Students Start Hybrid Learning

We will begin hybrid learning for grades 6-12 on Monday, April 19.  Governor Inslee has ordered that all public schools provide both remote and in-person options for all students K-12 by that date. Families will choose to opt-in to hybrid learning or remain in fully remote learning.

The Governor has mandated that 30 percent of average weekly instructional time be delivered in person for students who choose hybrid learning. To meet that requirement, our hybrid model has students attending in person two full days per week. On school days, students will rotate to three classrooms for live instruction. Class sizes will be small enough to accommodate six-foot distancing. On the three days that hybrid students are not in school, they will access their classes remotely.

In this model, students will keep their current teachers and class assignments. Teachers will instruct both in-person and remote students in each period, but not necessarily simultaneously.

Middle and high school families are asked to complete our form indicating their choices of hybrid or fully remote learning. For more information, please visit
